Cataract Surgery: Post Operative Introduction

Congratulations. If you are watching this video, it probably means that you or a family member has successfully undergone cataract surgery. Most patients do not realize that this is the single most common operation in all of medicine. This means that there are many others who already have, or will someday share this experience with you.

However, because there are many individual differences in eye health and cataract density, comparing the recovery period of one eye to another, or to that of a friend or relative, often raises unnecessary concern over normal differences that have nothing to do with the final outcome.

This video is intended to provide general expectations and tips for the postoperative period. Of course, you should always follow any specific instructions recommended by your eye doctor.
